2009 Yamaha YZF R6 SPECIAL EDITION BLACK & ORANGE STOCK WALK AROUND
I just bought my new 2009 YZF R6 SPECIAL EDITION and rode her home today! GOOD GOD its a hot bike. All stock but not for long. Let me know how you like her, and let me know what the best brands are to use for all of the good add ons like fender eliminators and flush mount lights and all the normal stuff. I’m a GIXXER guy and I’m a pro at anything Suzuki but Yamaha’s a new world to me so let me know what will make this thing look even better.

I got lucky! I work with a guy who used to work at the shop I bought it and he hooked me up with the GM who is still his friend. I only paid 10,640.00 out the door. I should have been over $12,000.00 because of the special edition and hell they didn’t have to give me a single $1 off of it because someone would of walked in and paid full price on it. I just got lucky that this guy owed my guy a favor from what I was told. Good luck on price most dealers don’t move on price when they are that new
I honestly hated Yamaha everything until I saw this one, we only have 2 yamaha dealers in town and between the two they only had one of these bikes each so I’ve got one! I saw the white and red in the crate when I was picking this one and its hot for sure but this one just poped out at me like shit. My dealer only had and will only have one Black and orange SPecial Edition, he had 11 white and reds. That right there will tell you what bike will stand out in the crowd. Good luck, the bike rocks!
Yea same here…I was into the Ninja zx6r because of the color…but the R6 has a cleaner look…where I live i havent seen a red n white nor a black n orange. But well see what happends need to decide quick because summer is around the corner n prices r goin back up! but again Great Looking bike bro! Ride safe out there! Peace
Holy shit dude, sick bike, i to am a gsxr guy but the new yamaha’s are looking sooo sick that i may have to get one this summer, how does it ride compared to the suzies?
I’d say this bike honestly flows around corners a hell of alot better than my last two gixxers did. I think its because its lighter but I’m not really sure or into the mechanical specs of it all but yeah it looks like no other bike out there right now and it was down to a 09 gixxers with ugly ass colors this year or this fine ass piece of metal!!! Most have told me I made the right choice. Good luck if your after one too! I hope ya get one!

Yeah I was definitely HOOKED on getting a ZX-6R when I get out of college in 2 years. But after going to the International Motorcycle show this last weekend and I saw this thing in person in the vivid orange, there is no way that this won’t be in my garage in 2 years.

i’d go r6 if you just want the best looking 600, the ZX6 if you’re going near a track, but if you’re doing road riding only i’d seriously consider the cbr600 WITH ABS…
depends if you go with your heart or your head, i’d go with my heart everytime, does that make sense?? r6!!
i’ve got my R6 2008 too, a team yamaha blue. as we all know R6 is the most appealing bike of all in tis categories. this limited edition orange and black is great!! take care of it, make sure you have that sliding frame or protector. enjoy riding and drive safe men!
The mods you need are a necessity. This is what i’ve done to my 09 raven. Pazzo levers, Hotbodies undertail kit (usually their products are bad, but this undertail kit was a very good fender elim), proton flush mount turn signals, Power Commander, full m4 exhaust, 09 yamaha seat cowl, and passenger peg plugs. Total for about 1900$. There is no end to what mods you but… levers/fenderelim/flushmountsignals. Are a must.
Ok I just finally started getting shit in the mail for this bitch and good god putting on just a intergrated taillight is a F-ing Chore. you almost have to take the entire back of the bike off. Jesus, Anywho I’ll post another vid of it with the new tail light it might be a day or two since it snowed again. And if anyone can think of a totally trick way of putting a licence plate on let me know, I know the obviouse ways so don’t tell me 2 drill in2 the undertail.Or chopper mount it. Sumthin Cool

iron.. only mods necessary are fender, flushys, exhaust, cosmetic wise
if you want performance just get a 520 conv. the acceleration gained from a 300 $ power commander and 250$ m4 wont even be comparable to the -1/+2 i have on my r6
O yeah just asking why did u get the 09 due to chage in electronics set in that year it has a little more mid range but barely has 100hp while the 08 version has 109 hp and an execellent top range
I honestly can say that this is my Grandpa Bike if that makes any sence. I’m 24 married and a old man now on my bike. I had all the fun I wanted to on my last Gixxer. I honestly bought this bike for the looks, and the feel of how it reminded me of my old 03 Gixxer, it felt like a larger tank to lean over and just about the same weight I know the specs are a bit off from the other year but I love just cruzin around at a little faster than the speed limit, its my Grandpa bike like I said.
